Cedar Ledge Builders: A Brief History

Cedar Ledge Builders (CLB) is an award-winning design/build company located in the Champlain Islands. We are dedicated to environmentally friendly building practices and working with our clients to fulfill their needs.

CLB strives to meet Energy Star and LEED for Homes requirements regardless of enrollment in these programs by providing tight efficient envelopes, smart layouts to minimize resources, high efficiency windows and doors, passive solar considerations and strategies for safeguarding the longevity of every project. CLB can provide further sustainable features such as geo-thermal heating and cooling, photovoltaic systems (solar panels), solar hot water and other energy efficient principles and techniques.

CLB ensures that clients are given a design/build experience that focuses on integrity, quality, and creativity.

Cedar Ledge Builders began in 2006 as a partnership between John Skutel and Matt Jensen, a father and son-in-law team, each with over 30 years of combined experience in construction, design, and site management. This experience, combined with a dedication to environmentally responsible practice, unique business model and excellent customer service, has launched CLB as a distinctive company dedicated to high standards, fine craftsmanship, original design, and quality products.
